Beautiful bright colors for a pretty floral print that is screened onto this scarf weight chiffon Malcolm Starr dress. The fabric choice makes it feather light and it has that wonderful floating quality that the well made chiffon gowns from this time period have. The color saturation is vivid and true. The bodice is kept simple with long sleeves that widen out to a quite full flare as they near the wrist and the neckline is left high and scooped. It has its original fabric tie belt so you can choose to wear it loose and easy for a more caftan feel or cinch in the waist for shape. The skirt cascades to the ground in yards of fabric and has great movement. This one was designed when Youssef Rizkallah headed the company so would have been made between 1969 and 1975. It is extremely pretty and extremely romantic. The semi transparency allows you to be bold and minimal underneath or wear something under it that will provide full coverage or a contrasting color.. Excellent condition.
Unlined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Hand finishes and retains its original tie fabric belt. There is one tiny stitch of a repair on the back skirt but it is strong and stable and in now way detracts.
